  • Journal of Sustainable Innovation and Impact (JSII)

The Journal of Sustainable Innovation and Impact (JSII), ISSN 3051-8083, is an international, peer-reviewed, open access journal published by TheSustainImpact® (Portugal). JSII advances scholarly and applied research at the intersection of sustainability, innovation, and societal impact.

The journal publishes full papers generally between 5 000 and 8 000 words, excluding figures, tables, and references. Longer manuscripts may be considered where justified by the scope, depth, or methodological design of the study. Manuscripts must follow APA 7th edition style and include an abstract of 200 to 250 words in a single paragraph without references. Authors are expected to use recent, relevant, and credible sources that reflect the current state of research in their field.

The journal welcomes submissions addressing sustainability and innovation across academic, organizational, technological, educational, policy, and societal contexts. Its main areas of interest include sustainable business and management, education, sustainable technologies, digital transformation for sustainability, ESG and sustainability reporting, circular economy, environment and climate action, gender and inclusion in sustainability, social and organizational change, policy and governance, and impact-oriented research. Submissions from business, education, technology, environmental sciences, engineering, social sciences, and policy studies are welcome where they clearly connect to the journal’s central focus on sustainability, innovation, and impact.

All papers undergo single-blind peer review, in which reviewer identities remain confidential while reviewers may have access to author information during the review process. Manuscripts are normally reviewed by at least two independent reviewers before an editorial decision is made.

The journal is published biannually under the CC BY 4.0 license, follows COPE-aligned publication ethics and transparent editorial policies, and supports long-term digital preservation through PKP PN/LOCKSS. Published articles are assigned Crossref DOIs to support persistent identification, citation linking, metadata registration, and scholarly discoverability.
