Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission is original, has not been previously published in the same form, and is not under consideration elsewhere.
  • The submission has been prepared using the official template for the relevant TheSustainImpact event and is uploaded in DOC or DOCX format. PDF files are not accepted.
  • The submission follows the event requirements and the Author Guidelines for this Proceedings Series, including required author details, word limit, keywords, and references where applicable.
  • The submission complies with publication ethics requirements, including proper attribution of sources and confirmation that any third-party material is used with appropriate permission where required.
  • All authors have approved the submission, and the corresponding author confirms agreement with the Author Agreement (Copyright & Licensing Policy).

Author Guidelines

TheSustainImpact Conference Proceedings Series (ISSN 3051-7362) publishes event-based proceedings and books of abstracts from TheSustainImpact conferences and forums. Publication is organized by issue, with each issue corresponding to a specific event.

How to submit 
Abstract submissions are currently collected through the official conference submission page. Please follow the instructions and template provided there. Once an abstract is accepted and finalized for publication, the editorial team prepares and publishes the official proceedings content through this publication platform.

Language
Submissions must be in clear English. Use either US or UK spelling consistently.

Types of contributions published in this series

  • Abstracts
    Short academic abstracts accepted for presentation consideration and published in the Book of Abstracts for a specific event.
  • Extended abstracts
    Longer structured summaries accepted for selected events and published as part of the proceedings issue for that event.

Scope and quality checks
All items published in this Proceedings Series are subject to editorial screening before publication, including checks for:

  • Scope alignment with the event themes
  • Clarity, completeness, and basic academic quality
  • Compliance with publication ethics and originality expectations
  • Formatting compliance with the required template

Formatting and required elements

  • Title and author information (full names, affiliations, country, and corresponding author email)
  • Abstract text formatted using the official template
  • Keywords (recommended: 3-6)
  • References, where applicable, formatted consistently (APA 7th edition is recommended)
    Figures and tables, if used, must be clear and include source attribution where applicable

File format
DOC or DOCX only, prepared using the official template. PDF files are not accepted for submission.

Ethics and originality
Submissions must be original and not under consideration elsewhere in the same form. All submissions are expected to comply with the series publication ethics requirements. The editorial team may apply similarity screening when appropriate.

Conference-specific instructions
Deadlines, word limits, themes, and templates may vary by event. Always follow the instructions on the official conference submission page for the relevant event.

Licensing and open access
Published items are made openly available. Authors retain copyright and the published version is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0).

Extended abstracts accepted for TheSustainImpact events and published in the Conference Proceedings Series. Items are subject to editorial screening for scope, relevance, clarity, and compliance with basic publication and ethics requirements prior to publication.
