Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to contribute to TheSustainImpact Conference Proceedings Series (ISSN 3051-7362). The Proceedings Series publishes outputs from TheSustainImpact conferences and forums, with each issue corresponding to a specific event.
By submitting, authors confirm that they have read and agreed to the Author Agreement (Copyright and Licensing).
1. Scope of Contributions
The Proceedings Series publishes work aligned with sustainability, innovation, and societal impact, reflecting the themes and priorities of each TheSustainImpact event. For the overall aims and scope, see About the Proceedings.
2. Types of Contributions
- Abstracts: academic abstracts accepted for presentation consideration and publication in the event Book of Abstracts.
- Extended abstracts: structured extended summaries accepted for selected events and published within the event issue.
The exact format and any event-specific requirements are defined in the relevant call and template for that event.
3. Preparation and Formatting
- Language: clear English. Use either US or UK spelling consistently.
- File format: DOC or DOCX only, prepared using the official event template. PDF files are not accepted for submission.
- Word limit: as defined in the relevant event call and template.
- Required elements: title; author names; affiliations; country; corresponding author email; keywords (recommended 3–6).
- References: included where applicable and formatted consistently. APA 7th edition is recommended unless the event call specifies otherwise.
- Figures and tables: if included, must be clear, numbered, and include source attribution where applicable.
4. Ethics and Integrity
- Submissions must be original and not under consideration elsewhere in the same form.
- Proper attribution is required for all sources and any reused material.
- Conflicts of interest and funding sources must be disclosed where applicable.
- Where applicable, authors must confirm that required ethics approvals and consent have been obtained and documented.
- Generative AI or assistive tools are not authors. Any use should be transparently disclosed by the authors, and authors remain responsible for the accuracy and integrity of the content.

5. Submission Process
Submissions are managed on an event basis. For active calls and current submission instructions, authors should use the official event submission page.

This OJS platform is used for publication, archiving, and stable access to published proceedings content. Where applicable, specific events may enable direct submissions through OJS, and the submission route will be stated in the relevant call.
6. Editorial Screening and Decisions
Items published in the Proceedings Series are subject to editorial screening prior to publication. Screening focuses on scope alignment, clarity, completeness, and compliance with formatting and ethics requirements.
7. Publication, Access, and Fees
- Published items are made available open access under a CC BY 4.0 license.
- No submission fee applies for publication in the Proceedings Series.
- Conference registration or participation fees, where applicable, are managed separately by the relevant event and do not constitute a publication fee.
