Peer-reviewed research articles generally between 5 000 and 8 000 words, excluding references, figures, and tables; APA 7th edition. Submissions must be original, aligned with the journal’s Aims & Scope, and prepared using the official JSII Article Template.
1) Peer Review
- Model: Single-blind. Reviewer identities remain confidential, while reviewers may have access to author information during the review process.
- Reviewers: Manuscripts are normally reviewed by at least two independent reviewers before an editorial decision is made.
- Timelines: Reviewers are normally asked to respond to review invitations within 7 days and complete the review within 4 weeks. JSII aims to provide an initial editorial decision within 4 to 6 weeks after a manuscript is sent for peer review, subject to reviewer availability and manuscript complexity.
- Decisions: Accept; Minor Revisions; Major Revisions, which may be re-reviewed; Reject.
- See the full Peer Review Policy.
2) Submission File
- Main Manuscript (.docx): Includes the full article, including title, author details, abstract, keywords, body text, references, tables, figures, acknowledgements, funding statement, and conflict of interest statement. Authors do not need to remove their names or affiliations before submission, as JSII applies a single-blind peer review process.
3) Format & Citations
- Length: Generally 5 000 to 8 000 words, excluding figures, tables, and references. Longer manuscripts may be considered where justified by the scope, depth, or methodological design of the study.

- Figures/Tables: Number consecutively, cite in text, and include captions. Upload high-resolution images under Figures & Images when relevant.
