Copyright Notice & Author Agreement

By submitting to the Journal of Sustainable Innovation and Impact (JSII), authors agree to the following terms. This page serves as both the Copyright Notice and the Author Agreement, ensuring compliance with international open access standards, including DOAJ and Scopus requirements.

1. Author Copyright

Authors retain full copyright and moral rights in their work. JSII does not require transfer of copyright.

2. License to Publish

Upon acceptance, articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license.

  • Readers may copy, share, adapt, and build upon the work for any purpose, including commercial use, provided proper attribution is given.
  • Attribution must include the article title, author(s), journal name, DOI, and a link to the CC BY 4.0 license.
  • No additional permission is required from JSII for reuse under these terms.

3. Rights Granted to JSII

Authors grant JSII a non-exclusive license to publish, distribute, and archive the accepted article in all formats and media, and to identify itself as the original publisher.

4. Author Warranties

By submitting, authors confirm that:

  • The work is original, not under consideration elsewhere, and all co-authors approve its submission and publication.
  • The work does not infringe copyright, moral rights, or third-party rights.
  • All third-party content (figures, tables, images, data) has proper permissions or is licensed for reuse under terms compatible with CC BY 4.0.
  • All funding sources and conflicts of interest are fully disclosed.
  • Ethical approvals and informed consent (where applicable) have been obtained and documented.

5. Self-Archiving & Preprints

  • Authors may deposit preprints, accepted versions, and the final published version in institutional or subject repositories, or personal websites, with full citation and DOI link.
  • No embargo period applies.

6. Corrections & Retractions

JSII follows its Ethical Guidelines (PEMS) and COPE standards for handling corrections, expressions of concern, and retractions.

7. Acceptance Confirmation

By submitting a manuscript, the corresponding author confirms on behalf of all co-authors that they have read, understood, and accepted these terms.
