Author Guidelines

Last Updated: 08/09/2025

The Journal of Sustainable Innovation and Impact (JSII) welcomes original research articles that meet the journal’s Aims & Scope. All manuscripts must follow these guidelines to ensure consistency, quality, and smooth processing through double-blind peer review.

1. Article Type

  • Full Papers: 4,000–5,000 words (excluding references, tables, and figures); maximum 6,000 including all content. Reviews may be considered in the future.

2. Submission File

JSII operates a double-blind peer review process. Authors submit a single manuscript file (.docx) prepared using the JSII Article Template. The Editorial Office prepares anonymized versions for review to ensure impartiality.

The manuscript must include: title, author names and affiliations (with country), ORCID iDs, corresponding author email, abstract, keywords, body text, references, tables, figures, acknowledgements, funding, and conflict of interest statement.

3. Formatting

  • Use the official JSII Article Template (Microsoft Word, .docx).
  • Style: APA 7th edition for in-text citations and references.
  • Abstract: 200–250 words; Keywords: 4–6 terms (separated by semicolons).
  • Figures/Tables: Cite in text; captions above tables and below figures; number consecutively (Figure 1, Table 1). High-resolution images (PNG/JPG, 300 dpi) must also be uploaded under Figures & Images.
  • Units & Notation: Use SI units; define abbreviations at first use.
  • Language: Clear academic English. Authors are encouraged to use professional editing if needed.

  • Introduction — outline objectives, significance, and context.
  • Literature Review / Theoretical Background — may be integrated into the Introduction; situate the study within existing research.
  • Methods — include ethical approvals and informed consent where applicable.
